Project overview

The Farndale Estate approached us with their idea of launching a village shop that would be more than just a retail outlet. It was envisioned as a showcase of Yorkshire’s best food and drink, all sourced with a considerable emphasis on local provenance.  This project represents our collaboration with The Farndale Sporting Estate, culminating in an outstanding establishment that promises to offer a unique experience for both the local community and visitors to the area.

Services provided

Our role with this project was comprehensive and multifaceted. We provided management services throughout the entire project, ensuring that every stage was executed smoothly and efficiently. Our team handled licencing applications and designed external and internal layout plans, creating a harmonious flow within the space to enhance customer experience.

We created Sketchup 3D models, providing a realistic representation of the final outcome.  The shop-fit was bespoke, tailored specifically to meet the unique requirements of the small spaces. To further enhance the store’s identity, we assisted in creating a sub-brand for the estate and developed all the shop points of sale and signage.

Special attention was paid to food retail space planning, product procurement and ranging. We planned display areas and visual merchandising to optimise product visibility and appeal. Additionally, we offered retail training to equip the staff with the necessary skills to consistently offer outstanding service.

The outcome 

The successful launch of the Farndale store stands as a testament to Appetite Me’s ability to transform visions into reality. Our comprehensive approach ensured that the initial planning stages to the final implementation were meticulously handled. This project not only added a unique shopping experience to the Farndale Estate but also contributed to promoting local Yorkshire produce, thereby supporting local businesses.
